Small Scale Utility-Connected Solar Photovoltaic Power Conditioner using Soft Switching High-Frequency Sinewave Modulated Inverter Link for Residential Applications

要旨
The utility-interfaced sinewave modulated inverter for the solar photovoltaic power conversion conditioning and processing with a high frequency transformer isolated AC link is presented for residential applications. As compared with the conventional full-bridge hard switching-based PWM inverter with a high frequency AC link, the simplest single-ended quasi-resonant soft switching-based sinewave modulated inverter with a duty cycle pulse frequency control is implemented, resulting in size and weight reduction and low-cost. This paper presents a prototype circuit of the single-ended zero voltage soft switching inverter-based sinewave power processor for solar power conditioner in addition to its operating principle. This paper also proposes a control system to deliver high quality output current. The power loss evaluation under actual power processing is discussed from an experimental point of view. A newly-developed sinewave power processor which has 92.5% efficiency at 4kW output is demonstrated for small scale utility-connected power aplications.

大型CIC 超電導導体の長時定数交流損失

要旨
A large superconducting coil wound with Cable-in-Conduit (CIC) conductor caused an additional AC loss which cannot be estimated from short conductor sample test results. It was confirmed that the additional AC loss was generated by long current loops in the CIC conductor. We propose a mechanism forming the long loops. If one strand on the surface of a sub-cable contacts with the other strand on the surface of the adjacent sub-cable, the two strands must encounter each other again at LCM (Least Common Multiplier) distance of all staged cable pitches and thereby result in forming a pair of a long loop. The long time constants of long loops were calculated. We orderly labeled all strands in a real CIC conductor, disassembling carefully the cable after peeling the conduit. It was found that the strands in a triplex were widely displaced from their original positions, and thereby their contacting lengths became longer than calculated ones. This fact makes the time constant of loop longer and hence can explain the observed long time constants.

自律タンクモデルによる日単位流出解析

要旨
The basin quickens the draining speed of storage water when the excess water brought in rain season, or slows down it to keep the base flow in drought. This shows that the main role in runoff process is performed not by the rainfall directly, but by the storage water change in the basin. The basin seems to have his own autonomous and non-linear work in controlling his water. The Normal Basin Hydro-cycle Rate (NBHR) was introduced as his own law in the preceding paper. This method is far easier as compared with Tank Model, performed by numerous try and error works to find its structure and parameters. But the concept NBHR may be incomprehensible and have not been easily accepted by the young students who are familiar to Tank Model analysis. This paper introduces the self-parameter regulating 1 Tank Model which automatically finds the water exit height and discharge rate according to the storage amount in the tank. Most of analytical results by the present method show better than those by Tank Model and the NBHR.

The analytical results of daily runoff analysis show the best adaptability of SRTM in most basins. This paper investigates the usefulness of SRTM in case of hourly runoff analysis.

These are far easier methods to carry out as compared with Tank Model (TM), performed by numerous try and error works to find its structure and parameters. The analytical results of daily and hourly runoff analysis show the reliable adaptability of SRTM in most basins. This paper describes the usefulness of SRTM for 10 minutely flood analysis in urban river basin.

10分雨量による都市洪水予測

要旨
The self-parameter regulating Tank Model (SRTM) was found to be useful for 10 minutely flood analysis in urban river basin in the preceding paper1). SRTM can find by himself two parameters, the discharge water exit height and discharge rate, according to the storage amount in the tank. If the future 10minute rainfall curve is provided, we can predict the urban flood and inundation by use of SRTM. The writer proposed a method (PRFM) 2) to depict the future 10minute rainfall curve only using the 10minute rainfall data since the rain beginning. This paper describes the experiment results of urban flood forecast using PRFM and SRTM in Majimegawa river basin, Ube. The present method can predict the inundation 100minutes earlier and the flood 170-200minutes earlier with the estimated flood water depth.

不連続面に起因した斜面崩壊とそのせん断強度

Slope failures have frequently occurred along discontinuous planes during a small amount of rainfall. The discontinuous planes were chosen as following: 1) the boundary plane between talus cone and ground, 2) the fractured clay in landslide area, 3) the joint developed in slate, 4) the thin glossy black soil adhered to joint or schist of metamorphic rock, 5) the boundary plane between granite and decomposed granite, 6) the boundary plane between decomposed granite and clay vein, 7) the boundary plane between schist of pelitic schist and the decomposed soil, 8) boundary plane between schist of pelitic schist-hornfels and the decomposed soil. Field and box shear tests were performed on the specimen having the discontinuous planes. These test results suggest that the strength parameters should be used in the stability analysis of cut slopes having the discontinuous planes.

要旨
Unconfined compression tests were performed on a cement-stabilized soil that was cured under an overburden pressure using a newly developed device. The influence of the loading time on unconfined compressive behavior was investigated based on the test results on a cement-stabilized kaolin. The test showed that the consolidation settlement and the undrained shear strength remarkably increased with the increasing of the loading time up to about 90 minutes. Furthermore, the wet density and water content of the specimen was almost constant the curing time after unloading.

DPによる系統信号システムの制御パタン切り替え政策の最適化計算

要旨
In this paper, a coordinated signal control based on pattern selection was chosen as the subject of the research and the relationship between control efficiency and frequency switching control pattern according to traffic fluctuation was studied. The switching policy was optimized by using DP, and total delay as a criterion was evaluated through time-scanning simulation. From some computational examples, it was found that switching control that is responsive to traffic demand improves control efficiency. However, it was also found that the avoidance of excessive switching was better except for remarkable traffic fluctuation because the reverse effect by the excessiveness was recognized.

三次元数値解析によるトンネル掘削工法の評価

Generally, the bench cut excavation is adopted in squeezing rock. However, advancing drift is used as auxiliary method for the occurrence of large-scale earth pressure in Nikkureyama Tunnel II . This paper is tidying field measurement data of Nikkureyama tunnel II. It is examining the effect of bench cut and advancing drift by using 3D-FDM. Also, it is proposing optimum bench length and drift length from the above result.

拡張カルマンフィルタを用いた急速載荷試験による杭の支持力推定

要旨
This paper investigates an applicability of extended Kalman filter to rapid pile load test. The dynamic behavior of the pile during rapid load test, such as STATNAMIC test, can be modeled as the vibration of single degree of freedom system. In this paper, the spring characteristics are assumed as a perfect elasto-plastic bi-linear spring. Unknown parameters of nonlinear spring, initial stiffness and yield displacement, are identified by extended Kalman filter. Dynamic response analysis using the identified parameters was carried out to confirm the accuracy of identification. Time histories of displacement and velocity at the top of the pile show close agreement between the measured and calculated results. The static bearing capacity from the analysis is also close to the static load test results.

MBE 法によるGaN 単結晶基板上へのV族窒化物半導体のホモエピタキシャル成長

要旨
GaN, AlGaN epilayers and GaN/Al0.15Ga0.85N multiple quantum wells (MQWs) were grown on GaN single crystals by molecular beam epitaxy. The crystalline quality of the GaN and AlGaN epilayers was investigated by X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The crystalline quality and surface flatness of epilayers on GaN(0001) single crystals were superior to those on GaN ) 1 000 ( single crystals. The homoepitaxial GaN layers on GaN ) 1 000 ( single crystals always showed higher residual carrier concentration and have a bad influence on intentional doping of Mg(p-dopant) and Si(n-dopant). Low temperature photoluminescence spectra of the GaN/Al0.15Ga0.85N MQW exhibited intense QW-related emission peaks. The variation of QW transition energy versus the well thickness (from 2 ML to 18 ML:1 ML=2.59Å) indicates the presence of built-in electric field in the wurtzite GaN/ Al0.15Ga0.85N heterostructure.

The mechanism of polarity control in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth of GaN epitaxial layers has been investigated using N-face of bulk GaN crystal. The (6×6) reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) reconstruction patterns were observed from GaN epitaxial layers on high-temperature-grown buffer layers over N-face bulk GaN after cooling. On the other hand, the (2×2) RHEED reconstruction patterns were observed from GaN epitaxial layers on In-doped GaN epitaxial layers over N-face bulk GaN after cooling. These results suggest that N-polarity can be reversed to Ga-polarity by In doping but not by the deposition of high-temperature-grown buffer layers.

The development process of self-sustained oscillation in a grooved channel, in the stream-wise direction, is studied by the electrochemical method. The unsteady wall shear stress measurements show that the flow periodicity in the stream-wise direction is preserved after the onset of the self-sustained oscillation. However, as the Reynolds number is further increased, the flow periodicity is not kept and the magnitude of unsteadiness increases in the downstream direction.

This paper is an attempt to classify “Art-full Yamaguchi”, an annual event which has been held in autumn since 1996 in the communities on the Ichinosaka River running through the bygone-day heart of Yamaguchi. The event is a remarkable example of community-activated “Machizukuri”. Investigation and examination of its elements was conducted by comparison with those of a similar example in Ikazaki, Ehime, whose movement is considered as successful a community activating movement, as the part and parcel of the so-called “New Social Movement” propagated in 1980’s based, in the main, on the concept of grass-roots movement.
